David Brown, CTO, Trinity Convergence
David Brown, co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Trinity Convergence, has been with the company since its inception in 2000. Mr. Brown is Trinitys chief software architect and is responsible for the technical implementation of the companys original vision to solve the deployment needs of a rapidly growing VoIP infrastructure and consumer electronics market with a comprehensive, yet flexible software solution. He leads an accomplished, multi-national engineering team of more than 80; is a frequent speaker at industry forums and conferences; and has authored a number of technical papers for publication. Prior to Trinity Convergence, he served as director of telecom software development at Blue Wave Systems (acquired by Motorola Computer Group) and was responsible for implementing the companys VoIP and other telecoms-focused solutions. Previous to Blue Wave, he served as system architect for British Telecommunications Research Labs in Martlesham, UK. Mr. Browns background is in packet-voice, voice and video conferencing, signaling protocols and standards, intelligent networks and wireless applications. Brown holds a BSc (Honors) in Computer Science from University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Frederic Bourget, Director, Product Management, Octasic
Frédéric Bourget is the Director of Product Management with Octasic and is responsible for product definition and product-portfolio management. Mr. Bourget has over nine years of experience in telecommunications. He joined Octasic in 2001 from Marconi Communications, where he directed the worldwide strategy of their Optical Networks Data Products. Mr. Bourget received his B. Eng (Physics) from Laval University in Quebec and is an active member of the ITU-T Study Group 16/WP1 focusing on signal processing network elements, voice quality, voice processing and echo cancellation. Mr. Bourgets papers, with topics including call-clarity optimization and simplifying adaptive filter design in echo cancellers, have been published by industry-leading technical publications.

Before Rapid5, he spent five years as Sr. Marketing Manager at Ascend Communications working with H.323 VoIP gateways and gatekeepers. Matt obtained a degree in Business from the University of California, Berkeley.
