Herman Hugo, Senior Marketing Manager, Infineon Technologies

Herman Hugo is Senior Marketing Manager for Infineon's Voice and VoIP product lines in North America, and is responsible for the integration of VoIP into platforms ranging from residential DECT to infrastructure linecards.

He joined Infineon Technologies in 1995 as regional manager in Cape Town, South Africa, where he also had technical and marketing responsibilities. Prior to joining Infineon, he was a hardware development manager at the CSIR in Pretoria and Hermanus.

Mr. Hugo holds a BSEE from Stellenbosch University, and an MSEE from Pretoria University, with focus areas in Digital Signal Processing and SAW Filter design.



Rick Krupka, Director of Sales & Business Development, VTech Communications, Inc.

Rick Krupka is Director of Sales and Business Development for Vtech Communications where he is responsible for the sales, strategy and direction for new technology supporting the service provider marketplace. In addition to his current role, Rick is on the board of directors for UTAM and was the past President of this FCC directed corporation and now holds the office of Vice President. Rick is also the former Chairmen of the DECT US working group and is currently an active member in the DECT forum. Prior to his current role with Vtech Communications, Rick was with Siemens for 20 years holding many difference positions in marketing, sales, business development and product development. He was instrumental in the activities leading to the FCC adoption of DECT6.0 for the US.
Rick has also implemented smart home and next generation communication product offerings including technology application using WiFi, WiMAX, IMS, UMA, UWB, Bluetooth, NFC and HomeRF solutions.
Rick received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts Technology from the University of New York and is a graduate of the Kellogg Management Institute of Northwestern University and holds numerous US patents in telecommunication technology.



Erica Martinez, Product Manager for Consumer Telephones, Communications Solutions Group, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company

Erica Martinez is Product Manager, Communications Solutions Group at Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, the principal North American subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd (NYSE: MC). She has been working in communications and networking technologies for the last five years.

Ms. Martinez first got her start in the industry working as a Product Engineer for communication products. She moved on to become the FCC liaison for Panasonic Corporation of North America before joining PCEC as Product Manager.

Ms. Martinez received her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and is in the process of completing her MS in Telecommunications from New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is currently based at Panasonic’s North American headquarters in Secaucus, New Jersey.



Mike Rude, VP of Business Development, DSP Group

Mike Rude is Vice President of Business Development at DSP Group - a provider of semiconductor solutions for cordless telephony, VoIP and Wi-Fi markets. Dr. Rude leads North American business development activity for DSPG’s broadband portfolio. He interacts with service providers, OEMs/ODMs & silicon partners to develop markets for new broadband devices. In addition, Dr. Rude is Chair of the DECT Forum US Working Group (DECT 6.0).



Dr. Rude has been in the broadband industry from the beginning working for system and semiconductor vendors in the DSL, cable and broadband wireless market segments. He has held a variety of positions in marketing, business development as well as R & D. He holds a Ph. D. from the University of Southern California.
