General Session: Unified Communications and Content Delivery
Monday, October 29, 2007, 4:30pm - 5:30pm

As users generate content and it becomes possible to communicate with anyone, anywhere, anytime, the two worlds of communications and content delivery are now merging into one. Traditionally telephones and television have had nothing in common, but in the Web 2.0 world, a mashup of telephones with television is not just possible, but is increasingly prevalent. Communication is now both synchronous and asynchronous - realtime communications, messaging, recording/playback and broadcast are now inter-related and flow into one another - this is the new age of communications.
