Patrik Falstrom from Cisco and former Area Director of the IETF spoke next and shared with us his expectation that the Internet was alive and well. He pointed out that carriers have a legitimate goal of providing a variety of services for access the Internet and the differences in quality will be come base on price. However, the business models of the industry today were not matching well to these requirements and it will continue to cause tension. |
