Thank you to the Spring 2007 VON Community for another successful event!

On Tuesday morning, Jeff Pulver opened Spring 2007 VON by asking the audience to celebrate the creativity in the marketplace and the networking opportunities presented by Spring VON. He pointed out that we no longer needed to put the IP in front of communications because IP is now mainstream and therefore communications is clarity enough.

Following Jeff's opening Vinod Khosla and Niklas Zennström revealed the secret that what the mind can conceive, it can achieve. Thus, no one should stop innovating or worry about intellectual property issues. Vinod pointed out that network oriented services are needed to support a mobile life and Niklas showed the expansion of the ecosystem of Skype into a social network experience for small business. Incorporating PayPal into Skype makes a new community experience for Ebay, and strategy has evolved.

Later in the day, Zohar Zisapel, CEO of Radvision explained that video conferencing and collaboration has come of age thanks to 3G. He illustrated the mobility of cell phones as an enabler to video quality applications; technology has arrived!
