CloudShield Platform Supports Migration to 10-gigE Infrastructures

07/25/2006

CloudShield Technologies Inc., a provider of IP services security and control solutions, has launched a 10-gigabit Ethernet packet processing platform to help large network operators move to 10-gigE architectures, the company said on Tuesday.

CloudShield said it will provide content processing solutions that meet operator-specific control policy and application requirements. The company added that carriers can inspect, analyze and control network content including voice, video and data at 10-gigE rates from CloudShield’s compact CS-2000 platform.

The company said its 10-gigE packet processing architecture and products are comparable to other available gigE or SONET/SDH networks, which provide traffic inspection and content processing.

CloudShield said its Deep Packet Processing Module (DPPM-800) provides support for the widest range of network applications for 10-gigE in its CS-2000 chassis. Furthermore, organizations that have deployed a CS-2000 can migrate to 10-gigE solutions in the future, the company said. While DPPM-800 is specifically for the CS-2000, CloudShield’s extended architecture is chassis-neutral, enabling deployments of its high-speed network processing and content control applications within open-blade server chassis.
