SMC Ships Wi-Fi Phone for Skype

SMC Networks has released its first Wi-Fi mobile phone, the WSKP100, for Skype users.

The new device includes Skype software that allows free calls among Skype users worldwide, and that also lets subscribers call wireline and mobile phones using the SkypeOut plan for low rates.

The SMC Wi-Fi Phone for Skype delivers three hours of continuous talk time and 30 hours of standby time.

The WSKP100 now is available in North America for a suggested retail price of $199. SMC is shipping the phone to resellers across North America and Europe.
