VoxOx has enhanced its SMS CallBack feature. The company is touting it as an opportunity for summer travelers to save money.
The feature enables users to make international calls from any mobile phone anywhere in the world, cheaply. For example, calls between Thailand and the United States cost just 2.3 cents per minute. VoxOx has also instituted stability improvements and launched a special microsite to enable users and travelers to test the feature for free.
Using VoxOx SMS CallBack, consumers can initiate an international call from any location by simply sending a text (SMS) message from their mobile phone to a special access number. In the text message, the user includes the number he or she wants to call, then within a few seconds the user’s phone rings and connects their call. VoxOx says this feature is easy to use with the instructions provided on the VoxOx CallBack Web site.
SMS CallBack does not require an Internet connection – users just need to follow a simple process to authorize their mobile number, and they will be able to place SMS Callback calls anytime from anywhere. All that is required is the ability to send text messages. VoxOx says its SMS Callback calls are much cheaper than standard international calls because they use the telecommunications infrastructure of TelCentris to place the calls to each party and then bridge them together.
