CallTower Offers On Demand Microsoft OCS R2

CallTower Inc. Tuesday announced the launch of its on-demand Microsoft-based unified communications solution based on Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 R2, which combines e-mail, instant messaging, conferencing and voice communications.

The CallTower solution provides a single interface and bill for telephony services, Web and audio conferencing, unified messaging, voice to text, text to voice, Internet, presence, screen pops and more.

"Many growing businesses are already familiar with and want the productivity gains that Microsoft OCS 2007 provides, and by offering it as a hosted service with PBX-like functionality natively delivered by OCS, we can make it affordable to customers that could not before consider such an advanced technology,” said Bob Barnes, CallTower’s executive vice president, sales, marketing and business development.

CallTower’s hosted OCS on-demand product doesn’t require any other telephone system or softswitch. Microsoft Office Communicator compatible phones can be used as the primary telephony platform.
