CES: Magic Jack Attack Hits 2 Million in ‘08

Magic Jack, a company and scheme that allows bargain basement residential VoIP, claims it has hit the two million customer milestone, in this year alone.

The mark suggests that consumers are enticed by the offering of saving an average of $1,000 per year and may not opt to include voice in multiservice bundles from telco and cable operators.

The huge customer base built this year may also suggest that consumers are becoming even more cost-conscious when it comes to residential services in a badly battered economy that shows little sign of improving soon.
