D-Link, NGT to Co-Market Microsoft IP PBX Bundle

12/03/2008

D-Link Systems Inc. and New Global Telecom (NGT) announced Wednesday an agreement to co-market phones and services for small businesses using Microsoft Response Point IP PBX.

Introduced in fall 2007 Response Point is a software-based IP PBX that is packaged as an appliance by three OEMs – D-Link, Aastra Technologies Ltd. and Quanta Computer Inc.

With today’s agreement NGT’s Digital Voice phone services connect directly to the D-Link VoiceCenter phone system based on Response Point software. The combination, the companies said, would enable small businesses to save up to 50 percent in costs. The ROI is estimated to be less than 18 months, according to John Guillaume, senior vice president of product and marketing at NGT.

NGT was one of the first VoIP providers to pass interoperability testing with the Microsoft IP PBX and was be included in the Microsoft Response Point Service Pack 1 when it was released in July.
