IT EXPO: Grandstream Adds Keypad Extender

02/02/2009

IP phone system vendor Grandstream Networks Monday released an extension module for its GXP2020 and GXP2010 enterprise IP phones, providing additional keys instantly for office receptionists, call centers or offices with high volume calling.

Announced at the Internet Telephony Expo, the GXP2020EXT module features 56 programmable buttons (each with dual color LED) and up to 112 programmable buttons when two extension modules are daisy-chained together. It supports the traditional call features on each of its programmable buttons, including busy lamp field (BLF), busy line answer (BLA), conference, call transfer, forward and pick up.

The module is connected to and controlled by the GXP2020 or GXP2010 with a short connector cable. Power and signaling are provided by the host phone.

The GXP2020EXT will be available for a list price of $95 beginning immediately through Grandstream’s worldwide distribution channel.
