IT EXPO: PhoenixSoft Offers Hosted Softswitch

02/03/2009

PhoenixSoft Inc. announced Tuesday at the Internet Telephony Expo a hosted option for its Cirrus Softswitch and a new NACT migration plan – both designed to make it easier for service providers to IP-enable their networks.

PhoenixSoft is making its Cirrus Softswitch available on a hosted basis, including 24/7 support and tailored applications. PhoenixSoft provides management issues, including power requirements, Internet backbone and connectivity to major U.S. colocation facilities. Over time, customers can move from the hosted model to purchase the Cirrus Softswitch and take it in-house as their business needs change.

PhoenixSoft’s Cirrus Softswitch enables Class 5 features and applications, such as prepaid calling card services, pin-less dialing, wholesale routing, voice mail, and online payment processing. It also supports customizable billing solutions for call rating, provisioning, customer care and accounts receivables.

“Through the hosted model, we can scale the solution as needed; we can sell it to our customers over time; or we can host it indefinitely – to accommodate whatever needs our customers may have,” said PhoenixSoft co-founder Warren Mattingly.

PhoenixSoft also is offering an NACT migration plan. The company already has migrated several former NACT customers seeking to IP-enable their network, to the Cirrus platform. Based on this experience, the company created a turnkey migration path with rate plans, applications, CRD, database, customer information and financial reporting.
