Phybridge, snom Align for End-to-End VoIP

09/09/2009

snom technology AG has teamed with Phybridge, a provider of risk-free voice over IP (VoIP) phone deployment infrastructure. This technology partnership gives businesses the ability to take advantage of the productivity enhancing features of IP telephony with minimal capital investment, the companies said.

Together, the two companies have conducted rigorous testing and evaluation that demonstrates full interoperability between snom's suite of IP business phones and the Phybridge UniPhyer, an IP PBX and IP endpoint enabler. The plug-and-play nature of UniPhyer allows a business to deploy a VoIP system while retaining its legacy analog phone infrastructure – driving down the cost and risk for businesses to migrate to an end-to-end IP-based solution.

The Phybridge UniPhyer overcomes traditional barriers to IP phone migration. It leverages existing telephony cabling as a dedicated voice path, working in parallel with the existing LAN. There's no network upgrade needed, resulting in lower costs and minimal business disruption. With fewer points of failure, the UniPhyer ensures quality of service.

Today, Phybridge customers can take advantage of snom's commercial-grade SIP-based phone portfolio that features its 3XX series (snom 320, snom 360 and snom 370) and new 8XX series (snom 820 and snom 870 touch screen phone). The snom product suite also includes the snom MeetingPoint conferencing phone and snom m3 IP DECT phone. snom's SIP endpoints also can support a variety of unified communications applications including Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 via its special firmware – snom OCS.

The joint solution featuring snom's SIP phones and Phybridge UniPhyer is available through Novus LLC, a distributor of TDM and VoIP equipment.
