snom Phones Interop with Brekeke IP PBX

11/18/2008

IP phone maker snom technology AG announced the interoperability of the Brekeke Software Inc. IP PBX with the snom 3xx series VoIP phones and its snom m3 IP Dect phone.

Brekeke and snom plan to collaborate further to make it easier for customers to install and maintain snom phones with Brekeke's new hosted PBX platform, the Brekeke PBX Multi-Tenant Edition, for service providers. Brekeke PBX supports both Windows and Linux platforms.

"This relationship is good news for our IP telephony service partners who seek a variety of SIP phones to offer to their customers," said Shin Yamade, president and CEO for Brekeke Software. "snom has been recognized as a leading VoIP phone manufacture for years, and we are very confident that their proven technology combined with Brekeke's robust platform will provide the best solution to our users."

snom's 3xx series (snom 300, 320, 360 and 370) are business-class, open-standards-based SIP VoIP phones with large high-resolution display screens, programmable function keys and advanced business calling features. The snom m3 IP Dect is the company's first cordless offering for the home office, SMB or enterprise. snom phones offer VoIP security, including support for TLS and SRTP protocols and VPN capabilities. The SIP telephones can support several audio devices simultaneously, such as the handset and headset, hands-free and power over Ethernet.
