Software Meets Hardware With Actiontec DSL

Hoping to provide a software means to help better and faster configure DSL modems, Actiontec Electronics has developed a java application aimed at operators seeking to pre-provision specific device settings.

While it may not be trendy to talk DSL, or perhaps more fashionable to talk it down, copper-bonding over DSL connections is still the preferred means of deliver TV services to the home for certain top-tier telcos.

For others, the bonding technology enables carriers to extend the lifecycle of embedded copper plants by squeezing out more bandwidth for service and service bundles than had previously been thought possible.
