Fonality PBXs Interoperate With Cbeyond Service

IP PBX maker Fonality’s PBXtra line now is fully interoperable with Cbeyond Communications’ BeyondVoice with SIPconnect service.

The companies said the interoperability means better voice quality for users.

PBXtra's features include telecommuting, branch office support, voice mail-to-e-mail, click-to-call, VoIP, softphones, and support for IP and analog phones. The phone system can be installed and administered remotely using a Web browser.

The interoperability to SIPConnect is important since not all IP PBXs automatically work with IP network services such as Cbeyond’s. Cbeyond is promoting the SIPConnect standard, alongside the IETF. SIPConnect narrows choices so users can be sure their IP PBXs will work with a network service.
